Monday, January 21, 2013 – The crème de la crème of the showbiz industry have finally come together in a move to clinch political power come March 4th General elections.
After getting nominated in big parties like URP, TNA and ODM, some of the most influential young politicians have formed a force to help the politicians clinch the seats they are contesting in conjunction with show biz titans.
Among the young politicians in the pack are Brian Weke, Stephen Kariuki (Margaret Wanjiru’s son) vying for Mathare seat on an ODM ticket, Steve Mwanga and One FM’s owner Alex Kosgei (Henry Kosgei’s son).
The pack of young politicians has the financial support of the following celebrities Prime Minister’s Raila Odinga’s son Fidel Odinga, Classic 105’s Maina Kageni, Kiss 100’s Shaffie Weru, Joe Nyagah, Jeffrey Kiboro, Dominic Maina, Big Kev and Bosco Gichana who are among the few people bankrolling the aspiring politicians.
Former Kenya Airways pilot and Blackstar entertainment director Machel Waikenda is heading the youth hub in The National Alliance (TNA) while veteran producers and entertainers Big Kev and Big Ted are on the political fore front of some political parties.
