I will achieve what I promised in 2007 - RAILA ODINGA tells Kenyans

Sunday January 20, 2013 - Prime Minister Raila Odinga has said he will achieve what he promised to Kenyans in year 2007, when he forms the government on March 5th.

Addressing a mammoth rally at Kericho town on Saturday, the PM said there were many pledges he made in 2007 General Election which were not implemented in the Coalition Government.

Raila who is also the Coalition for Reform and Democracy (CORD) Presidential flag bearer said the Coalition Government faced a lot of challenges, a thing that made Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) not fulfill the pledges.

“We agreed to team up with Vice-President Kalonzo Musyoka, Wetangula, Jirongo and other leaders in a bid to capture the Presidency so that we fulfill what we promised our supporters,” the PM said.

He said the Youth and Women Enterprise fund has not achieved its objective and the intended purpose saying once he captures the driving seat on March 5, his government  will give priority to women and youth to delve into income generating activities

“We noticed most youth and women did not have skills to do business and we will set aside some funds to train them so as to be successful business people in line with being self- employed persons” the PM who is also the ODM party leader said.

He expressed optimism on the upcoming general election, saying, he will capture the seat in the first round, saying CORD has the numbers and the formula of winning the next poll.
