Kalonzo endorses Musila for senator

MONDAY, JANUARY 7, 2013 - 00:00 -- BY WAMBUA KAVILA
Vice president Kalonzo Musyoka has endorsed Wiper party chairman David Musila to contest the Kitui senate against  Water minister Charity Ngilu.
‘Let us support Musila for the Kitui senate seat so that we can sweep the county and get rid of the problem there’ Kalonzo, the Wiper party leader said.
Musyoka, who is Raila Odinga’s running mate in the CORD coalition, said they were anticipating a clean sweep in Ukambani and a completely shut out the jubilee coalition whose flag bearer in the region is Ngilu.
He added that Wiper was totally committed to free and fair nominations where transparent ballot boxes will be used during the January 17 nominations.
Kalonzo said losers in the nominations should not get bitter and bolt out of the coalition but instead accept defeat honorably and continue supporting CORD as they would be rewarded later with jobs in the next government after a CORD victory.
