MERU and KIKUYU vow to combine with KALENJIN and vote for UHURU/ RUTO as a BLOC.

Wednesday January 9, 2013 - The Kikuyu and Meru communities have resolved to vote for Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta as one bloc in the upcoming general election, DAILY POST can now report.

In a two day convention at Batian Hotel in Nyeri, the leaders who were drawn from Central Kenya and Upper Eastern, resolved to vote as a bloc in the upcoming election as they voted for President Mwai Kibaki during the 2007 disputed Presidential election.

They said the Kikuyu and Meru registered voters surpass 6 million and this is a good requirement for them to elect their preferred Presidential candidate.

They said they will work with the Kalenjin community and other interested communities in forming a formidable force that will win the March 4th general election.

They urged their Jubilee supporters countrywide to remain calm and sober and repeat what they did during the just concluded voter registration on the March 4thpoll.

They also said they will launch door to door campaigns in their regions, sensitizing Kenyans on the need of voting on March 4th.
