Wednesday, the 9th of January 2012 -Amani Coalition Presidential aspirant Musalia Mudavadi this morning said that he bears no grudges against Jubilee alliance’s Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto and is ready to work with the pair again in the future.
Mudavadi made the comments this morning during an interview on Citizen TV’s Cheche breakfast show. The DPM added that his campaign has now repackaged itself;
“I can work with Kenyatta and Ruto. What happened on December last year is nothing wrong. We shelved the differences, gathered our courage and repackaged ourselves to move ahead”
Mudavadi also reiterated that he still believes that the ICC cases should be brought back to Kenya;
The Amani Coalition was unveiled last Friday and is made up of Mudavadi’s United Democratic Forum (UDF), Eugene Wamalwa’s New Ford Kenya (NFK), Gideon Moi’s Kenya African National Union (KANU) and Nicholas Biwott’s Vision Party of Kenya (VPK).
Mudavadi said that the Amani Coalition has a national outlook and defended it against claims that it was aiming to balkanize the Western Kenya vote;
“Amani coalition is not aimed at zoning the Western Kenya votes. What you are calling zoning is not. You must first consolidate your home votes before going out to other places to seek support.”
The DPM added that he was ready to go up against the other coalitions on March 4th;
“I am ready to face Cord and Jubilee coalitions in the polls. Am also ready to face either Cord or Jubilee in the runoff,” said the Amani flag bearer.
