ODM tries KISIA to be KIDERO’s No.2….as TNA gets WAITITU a new RUNNING MATE

Tuesday, the 22nd of January 2012 - The Kenyan DAILY POST has learnt that the powers that be in Raila Odinga’s Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) are currently working overtime to convince former Nairobi town clerk Philip Kisia to be Evans Kidero’s running mate in the race to win the Nairobi Gubernatorial seat in the March 4th elections.

Kisia decamped to Cyrus Girongo’s Federel Party of Kenya (FPK) last Thursday just hours before the party primaries were to be held thereby securing a direct nomination for himself and leaving the path clear for Kidero to do the same in ODM.

Kidero and Kisia are now set to face off in the March forth elections with both of their bids strangely situated in partner parties of the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD).

Seeing how the Kidero v. Kisia rivalry is likely to split CORD’s vote in Nairobi (not to mention guarantee a smoother path for TNA’s Ferdinand Waititu) ODM is understood to be currently working on a deal that will see Kisia sign up to be Kidero’s No.2

Meanwhile on the TNA side of things, it appears that Waititu has been convinced to select URP's Millicent Omanga to be his running-mate for the March 4th elections. Waititu had previously selectedEvans Ondiek, a city lawyer, to be his No.2 on the ticket but now it appears that there has been a change of plans.

More updates to follow.
