PM Odinga presidential campaign team restructured

The Coalition for Reform and Democracy (Cord) presidential candidate Raila Odinga has a new campaign team.
The changes announced by Mr Odinga’s chief campaign Eliud Owalo manager brings on board new members drawn from the campaign teams of Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka and Trade Minister Moses Wetangula.
This follows the formation of Cord which brings together Mr Musyoka’s Wiper Democratic Movement and Mr Wetangula’s Ford Kenya.
In a statement, Mr Owalo said that the changes were aimed at incorporating the interests of the coalition to ensure it wins the March 4 election.
“The Raila Odinga Presidential Campaign Secretariat has been restructured to incorporate interests of partners in the Cord Coalition, enhance synergy and deliver victory for Kenya.”
Those brought on board include Andrew Mwavwa, who has been the head of Mr Musyoka’s presidential campaign.
He now becomes the deputy head of Mr Odinga’s presidential campaign.
Ken Wanyama who has been a member of the Mr Wetangula’s Presidential Campaign Secretariat becomes the Director in Charge of Strategic Alliances and Partnerships at Mr Odinga’s presidential campaign secretariat
Mr Owalo meanwhile retains his position of Chief Campaign Manager and Head of the restructured Raila Odinga Presidential Campaign Secretariat.
Other members of the team include Ngunjiri Wambugu (Director, Political Affairs), Lang’at Kipkurui Lang’at (Director, Field Operations), Oduor Ong’wen (Director of Strategy, Policy and Research), Rosemary Kariuki (Political Mobilisation), Wafula Buke (Field Manager), Josephine Wandago (Women Affairs) and David Osiany (Youth Affairs).
The changes have been authorised by the three principals in the coalition, the statement noted.
