UHURU KENYATTA’s dark DEMONS now haunt WAMBUI KIBAKI in TNA nominations

Wednesday January 23, 2013 – The same dark forces that initially haunted Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta and nearly brought the Jubilee coalition to the brink of collapse are now haunting business woman Mary Wambui Kibaki, who legally won the Othaya parliamentary TNA nominations.

Wambui, on Tuesday accused powerful forces in government of blocking her from succeeding President Kibaki as MP for Othaya.

“There are powerful forces who do not want me to become MP for Othaya,” said Wambui who trounced Mugambi Gichuki with a bigger margin in the just concluded TNA nominations.

Her daughter, Ms Winnie Wangui accused Jimmy Kibaki, the President‘s son of being among those intent on blocking her mother’s election.

Wambui who is also President Kibaki’s second wife  complained  that her name had allegedly been removed  from the list of TNA nominees  for the Othaya MP seat even after she had been informed  by unnamed source  that her name had  all along  been on the list up to 4.00 pm on  Tuesday.

“I had confirmed with TNA headquarters that my name was in the list by 4.00 pm, but I later discovered from sources in IEBC that my name had been omitted and certificate awarded to my opponent,” Wambui said.

But in a tough rejoinder, TNA chairman Johnson Sakaja said Ms Wambui won the January 20 nominations and has not been denied the certificate.

Sakaja said the dispute will be resolved today on who between Mary Wambui and Stephen Gichuki will vie for Othaya parliamentary seat on a TNA ticket.
