Friday January 4, 2013 - Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta is scheduled to start a four day tour in South Nyanza region which is perceived to be Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s backyard.

Uhuru, who is the Jubilee coalition Presidential flag bearer, will on Saturday pitch tent in Migori, Kisii and Nyamira counties where he will be accompanied by a section of Kisii MPs.

A statement from Uhuru’s Director of Communications Munyori Buku said Uhuru’s campaign will start in Kuria, Migori County on Saturday before returning to Kisii for two days to consolidate his support. The tour will be concluded on Tuesday in Nyamira County.

Buku said Uhuru will attend church services, hold public rallies and meet grass root leaders in the region during his visit as the clock ticks towards the March 4 general elections.
